Manchester United are set to receive a significant financial boost after Mason Greenwood completed a permanent move from Marseille to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal with his trademark "Here We Go," revealing that Fenerbahce agreed to pay €40 million, plus €2 million in performance-related add-ons, for the 24-year-old winger.
The move will also benefit Manchester United, who negotiated a substantial sell-on clause when Greenwood joined Marseille in 2024.
As a result, the Premier League club is expected to receive more than €10 million from the transfer.
Greenwood leaves Marseille after scoring 48 goals and providing 17 assists in 81 appearances, despite a productive spell being overshadowed by reported behavioral issues on and off the pitch.
His relationship with the club reportedly deteriorated following the departure of former manager Roberto De Zerbi, who had publicly supported the English forward.
Several clubs, including AS Roma and Atletico Madrid, were linked with Greenwood during the transfer window.
However, Fenerbahce emerged as the frontrunner after reaching an agreement with the player's representatives before finalizing terms with Marseille.
According to Romano, Greenwood has agreed to a contract running until June 2030, with an annual salary of approximately €10 million net.
The transfer provides Manchester United with additional funds as the club continues reshaping its squad under manager Michael Carrick.
The Red Devils have already strengthened their midfield with the signings of Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, while they continue searching for a long-term replacement for Casemiro in defensive midfield.
