Manchester City, featuring Egyptian international Omar Marmoush, has a prime opportunity to close the gap on league leaders Arsenal when they host Fulham at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday in the 26th round of the 2025–26 Premier League.

Despite Arsenal topping the table in their pursuit of a first league title in 22 years, Manchester City comes into the match in high spirits after a remarkable comeback against Liverpool last Sunday, overturning a 0-1 deficit to win 2-1 at Anfield.

This victory marked a historic achievement, as City became the first team since the 1936–37 season to defeat Liverpool both home and away in the league, having previously secured a 3-0 win at the Etihad.

Currently second in the standings with 50 points—six behind Arsenal, who will visit Brentford on Thursday—Manchester City aims to continue its chase for the top spot.

Fulham, meanwhile, enters the fixture on the back of recent defeats to Manchester United and Everton, seeking their first league victory over City since November 2010.

City’s strong home form offers an advantage, with four consecutive wins at the Etihad this season.

Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has been central to their success, netting 21 goals so far, while Marmoush and the squad look to maintain momentum in the title race.
