Manchester City will aim to secure a place in the FA Cup final when they take on Southampton on Saturday evening at Wembley Stadium.
Manchester City, runners-up in last season’s competition, reached the semifinal after a dominant 4-0 victory over Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Southampton advanced with a 2-1 win against Arsenal, marking their first semifinal appearance since 2021.
City are looking to continue their pursuit of a historic treble. After winning the EFL Cup against Arsenal, the team is now targeting both the Premier League title and the FA Cup.
They recently climbed to the top of the league standings for the first time since August, level on 70 points with Arsenal but ahead on goal difference, following a narrow 1 0 win over Burnley.
The reigning FA Cup holders have an impressive record, winning all of their last 21 matches in the competition against teams from outside the Premier League, scoring 84 goals and conceding just 11.
On the other side, Southampton return to Wembley hoping to cause an upset and become the first Championship side in nearly two decades to reach the FA Cup final.
