Mamelodi Sundowns defender Motjeka Madisha died Saturday evening in a car crash in Kempton Park after attending the club's 50th anniversary celebrations, according to several news reports.
Madisha is the second Sundowns player to die in a few weeks, being preceded by former right-back Anele Ngcongca who also died after being involved in a car accident last month.
For their part, the South African club affirmed they are aware of the unfortunate reports related to Madisha and will issue an official statement in due course.

The 25 years old player was one of the candidates to join Egypt's Al Ahly team after Pitso Mosimane was appointed as the head coach of the red team.
Last October, "Citizen" newspaper published a report in which it monitored several candidates to move to the Red Castle among which was the late defender Madisha.
The Centre back moved to Sundowns early in 2015/16 season, coming from Highlands Park FC.
He took part during the last season with his team in 46 games in various tournaments (scored 3 goals and 1 assist).
Al Ahly’s boss Mosimane has previously shown his complete faith and confidence in Madisha, and said: "Madisha is a good player, it is important for us as coaches to build the confidence of the players, not only for the player himself but for the other players. We must support them when they make mistakes, after they have done a good job."
