Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hishamuddin Hussain will pay an official visit to Egypt on 20-21 June, Malaysian Embassy in Cairo revealed in a statement.
It is considered Hussain's first visit to Cairo, since his appointment on March 10, 2020.
Malaysian FM is set to hold talks with Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and a number of senior officials including his Egyptian Counterpart Sameh Shoukry, as well as Chairman of Suez Canal Special Economic Zone (SCZone).
It is worth mentioning that, Malaysia and Egypt enjoy close and vibrant relations, supported by substantive cooperation notably in the areas of trade, investments, education, tourism, and religious affairs.
Egypt is Malaysia's largest trading partner in North Africa.
