Manchester United have completed on Monday the signing of the English defender Harry Maguire in a deal worth up to £80 million from Leicester City.
Maguire has signed a six-year deal at Old Trafford with an option for a further 12 months.
The 26-year-old player has become the most expensive defender in world football.
The fee for Maguire smashed the record of the £75m Liverpool paid Southampton for Virgil van Dijk in January 2018.

Maguire, who participated with his national team in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, moved to Leicester City in 2017 for £12 million.
On his part, the England international expressed his happiness of signing to the Red Devils.
"I am delighted to have signed for this great club," Maguire said according to The Guardian.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Leicester and would like to thank everyone at the club and the fans for their fantastic support over the past two seasons. However, when Manchester United come knocking on your door, it is an incredible opportunity," he added.
The Red Devils will kick off their campaign in the Premier League against Chelsea on Sunday, August 11 at Old Trafford 17:30 CLT.
