Accor Egypt announced the appointment of Magdi Gamil as country director of hotel sales and marketing while he continues to lead the iconic Fairmont Nile City as the director of sales and marketing.
As a country director, Gamil will oversee the performance and strategic direction of the sales and marketing teams within Accor’s 24 properties in Egypt, including the Fairmont, Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, Mövenpick, Novotel, and Mercure brands, as well as the 15 upcoming hotels.
Besides, Gamil will effectively support the regional team in implementing the company’s strategies and vision.
Gamil joined FRHI with the company’s first Fairmont in Egypt – Fairmont Heliopolis – in a series of progressive roles leading up to Cluster Director, Sales & Marketing – Egypt in 2015.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Cum Laude honors from the American University of Cairo.
He received several awards, including Director of Sales & Marketing of the Year – company-wide, Fairmont Masters as well as consecutive Fairmont President Circle Awards, which is the company’s highest accredited award, in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
