On Tuesday, Prime Minister Mostafa Madouly said that King Abdullah II sent President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi a letter in which he reaffirmed his full support for all matters affecting Egyptian national security, including the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

Madouly and his accompanying delegation arrived on Tuesday to partake in the 29th session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Higher Committee in Jordan.

When Madbouli arrived in Amman, he was welcomed by Jordanian Minister of Trade and Industry Maha Ali, the head of the Jordanian honorary mission, and the Egyptian ambassador.

Madbouly was greeted with a red carpet and later met with his Jordanian counterpart, Bishr Al Khasawneh, for negotiations ahead of the committee meetings.

The joint Egyptian-Jordanian committee discussed a set of important files on enhancing cooperation in all domains especially trade exchange, housing, electricity, water resources, among others.
