Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina arrived earlier Sunday at Cairo International airport to support his national team in their match against DR Congo in African Cup of Nations (AFCON) round of 16th.

The president's family arrived in Egypt on Saturday to back their country's team.

The Barea made a great achievement by finishing top in Group B and qualifying for the knockout phase after beating three-time tournament winners Nigeria 2-0.

Madagascar, ranked 108th in world football, finished on seven points to six for second-placed Nigeria.

Noteworthy, in a huge upset, South Africa eliminated African Cup of Nations hosts Egypt in the last 16, after scoring a goal late into the game shocking the football world and putting an end to the Pharaohs dream of winning the iconic tournament on their home turf.
