French President Emmanuel Macron is kicking off a foreign tour today (Friday) including the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
The Elysee said - in a statement reported by (France 24) channel that the tour will focus on several topics, most notably the Middle East crises, the fight against terrorism, and the Lebanese and Libyan files.
"On the economic side, the UAE may announce an order to purchase dozens of Rafale fighter aircraft... but no information has been issued by the French presidency or the (Dassault) aircraft manufacturer on this matter".
Macron will arrive in the early hours of Friday morning in Dubai, and will meet with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
