Arab newspapers and websites have discussed the recent visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Lebanon, which is his second one since the terrible explosion that occurred in the Beirut port last month.

The writers expressed some ideas about this visit, especially with regard to what some of them described as "disregarding" Hezbollah forces.

Others pointed out that the problem does not lie in Macron's endeavors, but rather in the Lebanese reality that does not change.

In the Saudi newspaper Okaz, Tariq Al-Hamid praised the French role in Lebanon and said: "The French initiative towards Lebanon and the effort made by French President Emmanuel Macron deserves all the appreciation for being the clearest initiative, especially after the efforts led by the French President, as he paid to two visits, the first after the explosion of Beirut Port and the second early this month. "

The writer believes that the visit "came in order to ensure that politicians and parties adhere to the required reform steps, which the Lebanese are demanding and the international community insists on, most notably that Lebanon distance itself from the political crises in the region."

On the other side, Mona Fayyad said in the Lebanese “Al-Nahar”: “French President Emmanuel Macron strived to improve the country's condition. He  used diplomacy in dealing with Lebanon's crisis."

The writer points out that Macron, in her opinion, "ignored Hezbollah's forces and its terror activities."
