Perhaps the most known adult cartoon around the world, The Simpsons revolves around an awkward family getting through their daily shenanigans. The plot parodies real life situations, politics and trends.

Gunsmoke: 20 seasons

Gun Smoke is a Western drama series. Where The stories take place in and around Dodge City, Kansas, during the settlement of the Old American West. The central character is lawman Marshal Matt Dillon, played by William Conrad on radio and James Arness on television. When aired in the UK, the television series was initially titled Gun Law, later reverting to Gunsmoke.

Law & Order: 20 seasons

Filmed on location in New York, the drama showcases the sometimes-complex process of determining guilt or innocence, while lives hang in the balance. Often inspired by the latest headlines, the plots highlight legal, ethical or personal dilemmas to which people can relate.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: 19 seasons

The detectives that are part of the NYPD's Special Victims Unit investigate crimes of sexual nature. Lassie is an American television series that follows the adventures of a female Rough Collie dog named Lassie and her companions, both human and animal. The show was the creation of producer Robert Maxwell and animal trainer Rudd Weatherwax and was televised from September 12, 1954, to March 25, 1973.

Family Guy centers around a wacky family living in Long Island, with the mentally challenged father Peter Griffin getting himself and his family in trouble on several occasions. The Cast also includes a genius baby Stewie, A talking dog Brian, and siblings Meg and Chris.

NCIS: 15 seasons

NCIS is an American action police procedural television series, revolving around a fictional team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which investigates crimes involving the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
