British press reports suggested that the English club Liverpool is placing a high priority on renewing the contract of Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, the Reds’ top scorer, before the end of his contract next season, in light of the management’s desire to retain the services of the Pharaoh in the coming period, in contrast to the reports that spoke of his transfer to the Saudi League.

According to the newspaper "The Times", the new technical director, Arne Slot, is committed to continuing Mohamed Salah, who enjoys great support from Michael Edwards, director of football operations at Liverpool FC, in light of his conviction that the team needs the services of the Egyptian player in the coming period.

The report stated that Liverpool FC sporting director Richard Hughes will open the renewal file and talks with Mohamed Salah before the end of his contract in the summer of 2025, upon the recommendation of the new coach.

The report continued that the intention within Liverpool FC is for Mohamed Salah to have an important role in the club’s future under the leadership of Arne Sloat, the technical director who is expected to take over the job as successor to German Jurgen Klopp.

Mohamed Salah suffered severe attacks during the past few days in British newspapers due to the dispute that took place with Jurgen Klopp in the second half of Liverpool’s match against West Ham, which ended in a 2-2 draw in the last round of the English Premier League.

A verbal altercation occurred between Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp due to Mohamed Salah’s delay in preparing to participate as a substitute in the second half of the match.

At the same time, Mohamed Salah has become in demand in the Saudi Professional League, especially after he rejected a fictional offer from the Jeddah Football Association last summer.

Press reports said that despite Mohamed Salah's recent decline, Liverpool fans will not want to lose the main player in coach Jurgen Klopp's squad, just as they did not do last summer.
