Liverpool FC have officially unveiled their new home kit for the 2026-27 season, with a design inspired by one of the most iconic eras in the club’s history.
For the first time since 2017, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah was absent from the promotional campaign for Liverpool’s new jersey following the announcement of his departure from the club at the end of the current season.
The new kit draws inspiration from the classic shirt worn during the 1989-90 campaign, when Liverpool secured their 18th English league title, a record among English clubs at the time.
The design blends retro elements with modern details, featuring the return of the famous geometric pattern associated with late-1980s Liverpool kits, reimagined with a cleaner and more contemporary finish.
Liverpool’s traditional dark red color remains dominant, complemented by elegant white details on the club crest and side trims, reflecting the club’s historic identity.
The club also introduced a redesigned font for players’ names and numbers on the back of the shirt, inspired by the wings and claws of the iconic Liver bird symbol.
The home kit is completed with matching dark red shorts and socks, giving the squad a bold and unified look for the upcoming campaign.
