Origi came close to open the scoring in the 40th minute after firing a powerful shot towards the far post which was on its way in before Pickford made a brilliant save to the ball.

Liverpool are now topping the Premier League table after dropping just two points in their adventure in the league till now.

Earlier, Mirror reported that Mohamed Salah is the highest-paid player in Liverpool.

“Unsurprisingly, superstar winger Mohamed Salah takes home the biggest pay check from Anfield – with £200,000 pocketed each week,” Mirror said.

It also said the iconic Egyptian star came 8th in the list of the highest-paid player in the Premier League. “The Egyptian is only the joint-eighth highest earner in the Premier League though, with David De Gea, Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Paul Pogba, Mesut Ozil, Anthony Martial and Sergio Aguero negotiating bigger wages,” the British newspaper said.

Mirror revealed that the Reds splash out over £110 million on player wages during the current season.
