In their first game with their new coach, Liverpool suffered a defeat in their first pre-season match under new manager Arne Slot.
The Dutch coach arrived at Anfield on a three-year deal from Feyenoord after replacing Jurgen Klopp and started work as head coach of the reds on June 1.
Last week, the preparations at the Anfield started with Slot and his staff kicking off the work for the new season with the players.
On Friday, Liverpool took on Championship side Preston in pre-season friendly at the AXA Training Centre where the Reds were defeated 1-0, with Robbie Brady scoring the only goal of the match from long distance.25 Liverpool's players participated across the 90 minutes including a number of first team stars such as Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah.
