Liverpool FC exited the UEFA Champions League at the quarterfinal stage after a 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg at Anfield.

The match saw Mohamed Salah introduced earlier than expected in the 30th minute, replacing the injured Hugo Ekitike.

Salah attempted to spark Liverpool’s attack, making several forward runs and creating chances, but was unable to break through PSG’s well-organized defense.

Despite increased pressure from Liverpool in the second half, the home side struggled to convert opportunities.

The breakthrough came in the 72nd minute when Ousmane Dembele scored the opening goal for PSG after a well-executed team move that caught Liverpool’s defense off guard.

As Liverpool pushed forward in search of an equalizer, PSG capitalized on the spaces left behind. Dembele struck again in the 91st minute, sealing the victory and confirming PSG’s dominance.

Having also won the first leg 2-0, PSG advanced to the semifinals with a 4-0 aggregate score, while Liverpool’s European campaign came to an end.
