Football legend Lionel Messi, former Barcelona star, surprised fans over the weekend with a secret visit to Spotify Camp Nou, which recently underwent extensive renovations.
Messi, who left the club in 2021, shared an emotional message on his social media accounts, saying: “Last night I returned to place that I miss with my soul. A place where I was immensely happy”.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner added: “I hope one day I can come back, and not just to say goodbye as a player, as I could never do...”.

Messi’s visit comes as Barcelona fans eagerly anticipate the team’s return to play at their home stadium after a two-year absence.
The club has reportedly been planning a special tribute for the Argentine superstar, though details have yet to advance significantly.
Recent reports also suggest that Messi may play an indirect role in Barcelona’s upcoming presidential elections, potentially supporting a candidate opposing current president Joan Laporta.
