French club Lille OSC have officially announced the appointment of Davide Ancelotti as their new head coach ahead of the 2026–27 season.

Davide Ancelotti has signed a two-year contract with Lille, marking only the second managerial role of his coaching career after his recent spell with Brazilian side Botafogo.

The 36-year-old coach arrives with extensive experience gained alongside his father, legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti. Davide began his coaching journey as a fitness coach at Paris Saint-Germain FC before taking on the same role at Real Madrid CF between 2013 and 2015.

After earning his UEFA A coaching license in 2016, he was promoted to assistant coach and worked under Carlo Ancelotti at FC Bayern Munich, SSC Napoli, and later Everton FC in the Premier League.

Davide returned to Real Madrid in 2021, where he was part of a highly successful coaching staff that won two UEFA Champions League titles in 2022 and 2024, as well as the FIFA Club World Cup in 2022 and the Intercontinental Cup in 2024.

Lille will compete in next season's UEFA Champions League after securing a third-place finish in Ligue 1, and the club will be hoping that Ancelotti can guide them to continued success both domestically and in Europe.
