On Wednesday, the official spokesman of the Libyan National Army (LNA) Ahmed Al-Mismari urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to set a clear vision that ensures the integrity of the elections scheduled for December 24 and the removal of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya without exception.

In a statement, Al-Mismari called on the country's Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity (GNU) to adhere to the roadmap approved by the political dialogue forum.

He also stressed the necessity of adhering to the outcomes of the first and second Berlin conferences regarding the removal of all foreign forces and mercenaries before the date of the elections, with the need for a serious national vision for disbanding and disarming all militias and outlawed groups and reintegrating them through official institutions in the state.

According to the statement, Al-Mismari reiterated the General Command's support for the ongoing efforts of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC), rejecting any behavior that could affect its work and jurisdiction, as it ultimately affects the most important goal, which is to remove all foreign forces and mercenaries from the country.
