Abdulhamid al-Dbeibah, the Libyan Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, issued a decree allocating 92.8 million dinars for the repair and maintenance of 117 schools and educational facilities in cities affected by recent floods, totaling 15 cities.

By his decree numbered (608) for the year 2023, Abdulhamid al-Dbeibah authorized the Educational Facilities Authority to contract the repair of various schools in the afflicted cities in eastern Libya.

He also instructed the authority to establish a specific timeline for the completion of these maintenance projects.

Emphasizing the need for contracts with local companies registered with the Educational Facilities Authority branches in the eastern region and its affiliated offices in the affected municipalities and nearby municipalities, the prime minister stated that this should be done "in accordance with guideline prices for infrastructure, building works, full maintenance, and the procedures followed by the authority in execution."

Additionally, Abdulhamid al-Dbeibah attached a table to his decree outlining the municipalities, the number of schools, the type of maintenance required, and the estimated financial costs for the targeted educational facilities in each municipality.
