As the world continues to grieve Liam Payne's tragic death, his family finalizes the details of his funeral which will be a lavish remembrance service.
The former One Direction member met his untimely end on October 16 after falling from the balcony of his third-floor room at the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The initial findings of an autopsy, conducted by the Forensic Medical Corps at the Judicial Morgue on Viamonte Street, indicated that Liam's death was due to "multiple traumas" resulting in "internal and external bleeding." ,
The singer's father Geoff traveled to Argentina following the heartbreaking incident and had to wait for authorities to release his son's body for repatriation to the UK.
An insider, who claims to be a close friend of the late musician, told MailOnline that his body is expected to be flown home any day now.
"Arrangements are in place for that now and once his body is back in Britain the next step will be to announce the funeral plan. "Liam will have a very big send off, quite probably at a large cathedral somewhere close to his heart," the insider added. "Liam was so loved by so many people, there will obviously be enormous demand and so the service will necessarily be a huge affair. The details are still under wraps until they are definitively signed off but should be announced very soon."
The formal funeral comes as hundreds of fans have made their own beautiful makeshift vigils of the star in recent weeks featuring printed photos, handwritten notes, candles, flowers, singing, and more.
While little has been revealed about the funeral service, the ceremony is expected to be filled with A-list celebrities as Liam was well-known and loved in the entertainment industry.
Discussing Payne's burial plans, a source told Radar Online that the funeral is going to be packed with A-listers as he was so well-loved in the showbiz community, and added: "So many of them are so sad about his tragic death".
"His family want to keep his farewell low-key and respectful, as it's what Liam would have wanted as he was so down to earth," the source said. "But there are going to be a series of song tributes from some very big acts as he loved singing and making music until the end."
