Robert Lewandowski brought the curtain down on his Barcelona career by scoring in his final match for FC Barcelona during the club’s 3-1 defeat to Valencia CF at Mestalla.
The Polish striker found the net in the 60th minute in an emotional farewell appearance, as Barcelona fans celebrated one of the club’s modern great forwards despite the disappointing result.
Lewandowski’s final goal added another milestone to his remarkable spell with the Catalan side, where he finished among the top 10 scorers in Barcelona history.
After his goal, Valencia turned the game around through Javi Guerra, Luis Rioja and Guido Rodríguez, but the night ultimately belonged to Lewandowski as he said goodbye to the club after a successful era filled with goals and trophies.
Barcelona had already secured the La Liga title under coach Hansi Flick before the final round.
