The Ministry of Health in Lebanon on Wednesday reported 7 new coronavirus cases during the last twenty-four hours.

This upped the total number of confirmed cases in Lebanon to 559.

The death toll in the country has settled at 19 since February 21.

The ministry also added that no coronavirus deaths have been recorded during the last twenty-four hours.

It is worth mentioning that the World Health Organisation (WHO) revealed earlier today that more 68,000 cases around the world have been infected with the virus during the last twenty-four hours.

Noteworthy, more cases of the virus, which causes respiratory disease COVID-19, continue to emerge, with outbreaks in South Korea, Italy, and Iran.

People across the globe partake in self-isolation for 14 days as an effective precautionary measure to protect those around them and themselves from contracting COVID-19.

Transmission of virus between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.

It can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose or eyes.

The global death toll of new coronavirus “COVID-19” is dramatically increasing, hitting 70,344.

Meanwhile the number of coronavirus confirmed cases registered one million and 285 thousand and 285 cases globally.
