According to the World of Statistics, data on food inflation showed a drastic increase in inflation rate in many countries such as Lebanon, Turkey, Pakistan, and many other countries. Lebanon is at the top with 352% food inflation this year.
Statistics show that the inflation rate in Lebanon is increased by 352% which shows a high rate of poverty too. And the rate of food inflation in Venezuela is 158%.
When we look at Argentina and Zimbabwe, we see that their inflation rate is increased by 110% and 102% respectively.
In Turkey due to earthquakes and other reasons, inflation is increased by 53.92%. Reasons for poverty vary from country to country but they all had devastating impacts on their economy.

While food prices generally increased about 2% in prior years, they increased about 11% from 2021 to 2022.
Inflation contributed to the increase in poverty. But there were other factors—like global disruptions to the food supply chain—that may have had a greater impact. And not everyone felt this increase the same way.
