The Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation, which owns the LBC channel, announced that unidentified persons, Sunday evening, threw a bomb at the institution's building in the capital, Beirut, which resulted in material losses and damage to cars in the vicinity of the channel's building.
The head of the Lebanese caretaker government, Najib Mikati, contacted the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation, Pierre Daher, to get acquainted on the attack that targeted the station building.
Members of the Army Intelligence, the security forces, and the Information Division arrived to the scene and began investigations.

Priority information indicated that this attack coincided with an acting clip that was considered a “mockery” of one of the religious sects in Lebanon.
Mikati stressed that the security investigations will intensify to clarify the circumstances of the incident, considering that the freedom of media will remain safeguarded and will not be intimidated by an attack.
Reports also confirmed the safety of the workers at the station after the bomb exploded.
