Laylat al-Qadr is the night when Allah sent the holy Quran to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to guide mankind in the right way in their lives.

Beginning of the Story

The revelation started in 610 CE at the “Hira” cave on Mount “Nur” in Mecca when Angel Jibril visited Prophet Mohammad, hugged him painfully and commanded him to recite.

It was a miraculous moment; very scary but so great, and since this time the fate of mankind has completely changed.

It si worthy noting that the first chapter “Surah”  that was revealed through Angel Jibril was “Al-ʿAlaq”- meaning 'the clot'

Al-Qadr Chapter

Chapter 97 of the Islamic holy book entitled “Al-Qadr” described this precious night stating that it’s better than 1000 months; almost 83 years.

This means that it’s not comparable to any other night; blessings of acts of worship during it are almost better than those of lifetime worship.

It’s really wondrous how one single night starts from the sunset until rise of dawn is priceless to that extent.

During this night, angels descend from heaven to pray with Muslims while bringing fates of people in the coming year.

It’s undetermined night since it falls within the last ten days of Ramadan and it’s more likely to be one of the odd nights like 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th of Ramadan.

Uncountable virtues are waiting honest Muslims who regret their bad deeds and pray for God with humble hearts to pardon them.

Believers world-wide eagerly wait for this night to return back to God and ask for his forgiveness.

They also ask God to ward off their worries and make them achieve their dreams.

Al-Qadr Chapter in Qur'an:

1. We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power:

2. And what will explain to thee what the Night of Power is?

3. The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.

4. Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand.

5. Peace!... this until the rise of dawn!
