Dr. Vadim Zaychikov, Director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, inaugurated the Russian School of Engineering at the Botanique Educational Center. The initiative is an international project organized by the Russian Federal Agency for International Cooperation and the Russian State Geological Prospecting University “Ordzhonikidze,” in collaboration with ten partner countries.
Zaychikov emphasized that working with young people is one of the key priorities, stating: “It is extremely important to engage with school students and encourage them to participate in scientific activities and modern technologies, including those related to in-demand engineering fields.”
He added that the Russian School of Engineering is expected not only to discover new talents among children but also to help shape their educational and professional paths, including the option of pursuing higher education at Russian universities.
For her part, Daria Matsuk, Director of the Botanique Educational Center, highlighted that this new educational initiative will spark children’s interest not only in science but also in learning the Russian language and culture.
Through three structured learning tracks, students will be able to master the basics of robotics — from design to production — using specialized computer programs. The curriculum follows the standards of the Russian Ministry of Education. Both Russian and Egyptian students who are Russian-speaking can enroll, with tuition offered free of charge under the supervision of specialized professors.
Matsuk further stressed that studying technology at the Botanique Center enables children and young people to enhance their Russian language skills while gaining exposure to the latest technological approaches in engineering and robotics.
