With the recurrence of cases of gastroenteritis , some may attribute it to the severe heat wave and the use of air-conditioning and fans intensively, or to eat certain types of contaminated fruits. But beware, not all diarrhea is caused by a cold or contaminated fruit, Corona may be in the stomach.

A recent study by scientists at the University of Washington confirms that there are many strains of the Coronavirus, which we knew of as COVID- 19.

This virus  affects the respiratory system, but currently the it has mutated so its symptoms have changed and directly attacks the stomach. This means that it is not a  new virus. Some research papers confirm  that the clinical picture of the virus changes and infects the stomach and causes severe gastroenteritis.

Intestinal disorders  need  to be treated with rehydration solution, especially for children and the elderly. The latest research warns people of the direct causes of these disorders, which are be caused by the shared use of bathrooms and personal items.

Doctors warn the Egyptian family to be  cautious when  using shared bathrooms. Disinfection must be done after each use with chlorine diluted 1 to 10. And recommend disinfection of bathroom door handles,   faucets and all common tools at home and work.

People must  return to all other precautionary measures of social distancing, masks and all other precautions. The symptoms of gastroenteritis are as follows: Diarrhea accompanied by vomiting, severe cramping and lack of appetite completely. These symptoms may be accompanied by other respiratory symptoms. The family pay attention to the occurrence of diarrhea and vomiting.

A patient must go immediately to a doctor to diagnose the case. The doctor  should   give the patient a solution for rehydration and attention to all precautionary measures.

Doctors confirm there is no talk of a second wave or a novel Coronavirus, and that we are still in the  first wave of the disease, but the virus has changed its nature, and mutated to attack stomach directly.
