1917 is a "Drama/Action" genre movie that was produced in 2019. It earned the Golden Globe Award for best motion picture drama, and while its director, Sam Mendes, got the film award for best director.

The plot is set during World War I. It revolves around two British soldiers, Lance Cpl. Schofield and Lance Cpl. Blake, who receive impossible orders. In a race against time, they must cross over into enemy territory to deliver a message that could potentially save 1,600 of their fellow comrades– including Blake's brother.

Rotten Tomatoes, one of the most trusted measurements of quality for Movies & TV, described the movie as a “Hard-hitting, immersive, and an impressive technical achievement; 1917 captures the trench warfare of World War I with raw, startling immediacy.”

It scored 89% from Rotten Tomatoes, 8.6/10 from IMDb, while 87% of Google users liked the movie.
