On the land of our ancestors, the Pharaohs, and specifically the Pyramids, Egyptian fashion designer Rania Mohamed chose to hold a photo session featuring her new evening collection for children.
She chose girls having different shapes to express the colors of different civilizations; however, they all were holders of Egyptian nationality embodying the country's great civilization.
This came in the framework of the fashion designer’s desire to do a photo session with a purpose and meaning.
“My idea was to integrate fashion and promote tourism,” Mohamed revealed.
Necessity is the mother of invention, a rule that has established itself daily. The designer, a holder of Bachelor of Law degree, found it difficult to find suitable designs for her children for occasions and wedding events.
She found herself creating unique designs for her children, which received everyone’s admiration— despite not studying fashion.
The designer began to develop professionally 7 years ago as she entered the world of professional specialization in designing special occasion collections for girls.

Talking about her new collection, Mohamed says: “Winter Collection is different. I wanted it to be suitable and different to suit all occasions and most tastes, whether for a wedding, engagement, katb ketab, birthday, or any other occasion,”
Extremely important fashion advice that makes a difference in the child’s elegance – when choosing special occasion outfits, it must be something suitable and coordinated.
* Secrets of elegance
Mohamed addressed how she works on her designs: “I love to check out the seasonal colors that are the fashion trends of the year and know what is fitting for the category I am dealing with- a very important point because not everything needs to be about fashion,”
“The chosen color or design must be appropriate for those who wear it.” she added.
* Haute couture for children
Mohamed focuses on designing haute couture for children, even if it is difficult:
“As for design, I try to be different and innovative in my designs, create a design in a certain way,”
She continued: “I am fully convinced that in conjugation "continuity with renewal" to continue I need to develop and evolve,”
“In addition to my love for the couture, which is high-end sewing with a sophisticated style and design with a luxurious material that creates a special design for the designer,” she added.
Mohamed pointed out that creating a special design is possible with embroidery that takes time, but the designer will be the one to tailor a special design for the customer.
“The couture is difficult to copy because it is easily notable, through this way I made a different distinct piece,” she added.
She revealed that when working on very difficult designs— on both the creating and designing level— can be extremely exhausting to finish the model.
* Comfortable in movement
The designer pointed to the important criteria that she considers when creating a design for a child for any occasion.
“Honestly, there are many criteria that I have to take into consideration, and when I choose a design for a girl, of course, it should be comfortable for the movement.” she stated.
