On Monday, Lamine Yamal won the 2024 Raymond Kopa award for the best young player at the Ballon d’Or 2024 ceremony in Paris.
17-year-old Lamal became the youngest nominee for the Ballon d’Or when he made the top 30 nominees for the prize, and the youngest one to win Kopa award.
Yamal played a major role in Spain winning the Euro 2024 title, scoring a goal and making four assists.
He was also named the Best Young Player award in the tournament.
Yamal joins teammates Pedri and Gavi, who received the Kopa Award before.
Netherlands legend Ruud Gullit gave the award to Lamal.
