Kyrgyzstan has dispatched 129 tons of humanitarian aid to Iran to support civilians affected by ongoing regional tensions, the country’s emergency ministry announced Friday.
The shipment, organized under the direction of President Sadyr Japarov, was coordinated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in cooperation with the foreign ministry.
According to officials, the aid includes 66 tons of food supplies and 63 tons of medical assistance. The shipment contains essential items such as flour, canned meat, vegetable oil, and basic medicines.
The cargo was transported in a convoy of seven heavy trucks operated by the emergency ministry and has been sent to Iran for distribution.
The delivery will be coordinated with Kyrgyzstan’s ambassador to Iran, Akylbek Kelychev.
Authorities said the assistance is intended to help civilians impacted by the ongoing crisis.
