The Kuwaiti embassy in Egypt confirmed the follow-up of the investigation with the competent Egyptian authorities regarding a quarrel between a group of Kuwaiti students in a mall in Alexandria, Egypt.
In a statement, the embassy said: "With regard to the videotape that was circulated on social media, what happened was a quarrel between a group of Kuwaiti students studying in Alexandria in a commercial complex, which resulted in some minor injuries, and the complex's security personnel intervened to resolve it."
The statement added: "The embassy, while regretting what happened, expresses its dissatisfaction with such actions that were taken by some of its students, and calls for adherence to the laws and regulations in force in Egypt."
It that the Kuwaiti students in Alexandria, who were arrested because of a quarrel in one of the compounds, were released.
