Kuwait has recorded on Saturday the first coronavirus death since the spread of the virus across the country.

In a statement, the ministry of health in Kuwait registered 62 coronavirus diagnosed cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Arab country to 479.

It is worth mentioning that the country announced that 11 new cases recovered, raising the number of recovered cases to 93.

The COVID-19 epidemic continued its rapid growth, as the number number of people affected by it exceeded one million people worldwide, half of whom are in Europe.

The global epidemic caused by the novel coronavirus has also claimed the lives of nearly 59,950 people, amid expectations that America will become the new epicenter of the epidemic.

The number of people recovering from the virus worldwide has exceeded 200,000.

China topped the list of countries that have known the largest number of recoverers after their number reached 76 thousand people, according to the site “Worldometer”, which is concerned with tracking the developments of the Corona virus.

Spain comes in second place with more than 26 thousand recovered persons, while Germany is ranked third with 19 thousand and 175 recovered cases from the virus.

More than 500,000 injuries were recorded in Europe, the most affected continent, at a time when the numbers are increasing in the United States (215,000). The country appears to be gradually becoming the new epicenter. In the absence of sufficient capabilities to detect injuries, these numbers are likely to be without reality.
