Kuwait: Huge Fire in Mubarakiya Market Hurts 14 Citizens (Videos)

At least 14 people were injured as a massive fire broke out in Mubarakiya market, Kuwaiti media reported on Thursday.

Five firefighting teams are reportedly trying to extinguish the fire that is sweeping through the stores.

Videos and footage on social media showed a huge plume of black smoke billowing into the sky from the locations where the blazes are raging.

Five brigades "are dealing with the huge fire" at the market, according to an initial report by the Kuwaiti Fire Force.

The major blaze marks the second one to be reported in Kuwait in less than a week. Last Monday, a huge fire broke out at an under-construction new terminal at Kuwait International Airport.

The cause of the incident was not immediately known and it wasn’t immediately clear if anyone had been injured.
