KSA to Face Ecuador in Early-Morning World Cup Warm-Up Clash

KSA will take on Ecuador at 2:30 a.m. local time in a friendly match at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, United States, as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The fixture forms part of Saudi Arabia’s build-up to the tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Saudi Arabia are aiming to reach peak condition ahead of a challenging World Cup campaign, where they have been drawn into a group featuring Spain, Uruguay, and Haiti.

The match also revives memories of the only previous meeting between the two nations, a goalless draw played in Spain in September 2022 during preparations for the Qatar World Cup.

At the time, KSA were managed by Hervé Renard, who relied on several players that remain key figures in the current squad, including Salem Al-Dawsari, Saud Abdulhamid, Firas Al-Buraikan and Yasser Al-Shahrani.
