KSA Issues Health Passport for Vaccinated Residents

On Thursday, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) started issuing special health passports for citizens and residents who have received COVID-19 vaccines.

The main aim of the service is to set an accurate record for the COVID-19 vaccine recipients and to make sure that every recipient receives his two doses of the vaccine.

Health Minister Tawfik Rabiah announcing the launching of the service together with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).

The passport will contain the full medical details of its holder and the degree of vaccination.

Last month, the state started the first stage of its vaccination campaign. It targeted the citizens and residents who are over 65 years, those who are most vulnerable to infection.

On the other hand, the second stage targeted people who are over 50 years, and those who are suffering from chronic diseases, as well as those with obesity with BMI between 30 – 40.

And, the final stage will target all citizens and residents who want to take the vaccine.

Also, Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman received the COVID-19 vaccine last month.
