The Kremlin stated Wednesday that it was too soon to discuss details about when and where Russian President Vladimir Putin might possibly meet his American counterpart President Joe Biden.

“It is premature yet to speak about any details of this meeting. This is a new proposal and it will be studied and analyzed,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, as reported by Russian state media.

“The leaders agreed that the issue of such a meeting would be subsequently discussed already through diplomatic channels,” Peskov added.

On his part, Czech Interior Minister Jan Hamáček offered Putin and Biden to hold their first summit in Prague.

"I have instructed our [Czech] ambassadors in Washington and Moscow to offer Prague as a possible meeting place," Hamáček said on Twitter.

Biden held a phone call with Putin proposing a summit talks in the coming months in a third country, the White House said on Tuesday.

Both leaders discussed in detail the state of bilateral relations and a number of international issues, the Kremlin press office reported.
