The Kremlin has reaffirmed that there are no discussions currently underway to change the mediator in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, emphasizing that cooperation with Washington remains intact, according to Alqahera News.

It reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart President Masoud Pezeshkian held talks addressing the ongoing nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington. Details of the discussion remain undisclosed, but the meeting underscores growing diplomatic activity amid heightened regional and international tensions.

On the military front, Ukrainian forces launched a major overnight drone assault on Russian territory from Monday night into Tuesday. The attack specifically targeted the capital, Moscow, prompting the temporary shutdown of several airports, according to Russian authorities.

The incident comes just days ahead of Russia's Victory Day celebrations, which commemorate the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II.

Russian officials have yet to release detailed information on casualties or damage, but the timing of the assault marks a significant escalation in hostilities.
