Kremlin: No Plans for Possible Meeting Btw Putin, Pope Francis

No agreement has been reached for a possible meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Pope Francis to discuss the Ukrainian crisis, the Kremlin announced on Wednesday. 

On Tuesday, Pope Francis said, In an interview, that he asked for a meeting with Putin in Moscow, to try to put an end to the ongoing war in Ukraine, yet he did not receive any reply.

Last week, Russia announced that there are no plans yet for a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, in Moscow.

“There are no concrete plans in this regard,” Kremlin said.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron had announced that he planned to meet Putin after the end of presidential elections in his country.
