The Kosovo national football team is aiming to make history by securing its first-ever qualification for the FIFA World Cup when it hosts the Türkiye national football team on Tuesday evening in the European playoff final.

The decisive clash, set to take place in Pristina, offers a winner-takes-all opportunity to book a place at football’s biggest stage, with no margin for error for either side.

Türkiye enters the encounter with strong ambitions of returning to the global spotlight after years of absence.

The squad is fueled by a promising generation led by rising star Arda Güler of Real Madrid.

The Turkish side reached this stage following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Romania, secured by defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu.

A win would see Türkiye advance to a group featuring the United States, Australia, and Paraguay.

On the other side, Kosovo is crafting an extraordinary story, with its players determined to achieve an unprecedented milestone.

Regarded as the tournament’s dark horse, Kosovo impressed by eliminating Slovakia in a dramatic 4-3 encounter that highlighted both resilience and attacking quality.

The stakes have been further raised off the pitch, with the government led by Albin Kurti reportedly promising a significant financial reward of up to €1 million if the team secures the historic victory.
