South Korean Ambassador to Egypt Hong Jin-wook revealed the details of his participation in El-Mataria's longest iftar Banquet, which was organized yesterday in the presence of a huge fasting crowd.
Jin-wook explained that he fasted for one day in order to break his fasting with the Egyptians in El-Mataria neighborhood.

He said, during a call-in with TV anchor Azza Mustafa on Sada El-Balad channel, that he was happy to attend Al-Mataria Iftar banquet to learn about Egyptian customs and culture.
He added: Idid not imagine what I saw. The food was plenty and the table was large, and everyone was happy in an atmosphere resembling a festival.
The Korean ambassador added that he loves a lot of Egyptian food, such as stuffed meat, qatayef, chicken and tagine, pointing out that qatayef is similar to South Korean food.
