Korean Amb.: Cultural Exchange with Egypt Foundation of Relations Development 

The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Egypt Hong Jin-took expressed his utter happiness for attending his first event in the Korean cultural center in Cairo, that is after taking his position as South Korea’s ambassador in Egypt on July the 3rd.

The Ambassador announced during the K-POP competition award ceremony that he heard a lot about the Egyptians passion for the Korean wave and thus, the K-POP which encouraged the success of his mission in Egypt.

The diplomat confirmed during the award ceremony aired live on YouTube that the Korean culture lovers in Egypt are Korea’s ambassadors in Egypt and Egypt’s ambassadors in Korea.

The Korean ambassador pointed to the fact that this year is the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Egypt and South Korea. Emphasizing on the importance of the cultural exchange between Egypt and South Korea in developing the relations between the two countries and their people.

The K-POP competitions come to an end with the announcement of the three winners with more than 80 applicants in its first stage and only 9 bands making it to the finals. The final assessment was through the online voting, K-POP specialist and the manager of the Korean cultural center in Egypt.
