Many entrepreneurs and scientists are inventing different technological apps to assist in the field of education. Such apps are "Know your body" and "Virtual Lab Platform (Vlab)".

"Know your body" and "Virtual Lab Platform (Vlab)" are two new applications that offer interactive education. The first helps 5-15 year-old children to learn, while the latter aids school and university students in Egypt, some Arab and African countries.

Talking to ‘SEE,’ Mohamed Nada, one of the participant at the 5th International Cairo Exhibition of Innovation, said: "‘Know your body’ app is currently available in Arabic, but soon will be available in English and French languages. Vlab will be available in Arabic, English and French languages. "

Nada explained that the applications feature interactive platforms that provide virtual labs to students to help them do the laboratory experiments in an electronic environment with more fun, interesting and interactive for children.

It presents an explanation and displays about human body systems and organs, with the possibility of rotating every organ at 360° through an easy and simple way suitable for children. It anatomizes every organ in a virtual lab to enable them to study its internal structure.

The entrepreneur explained that there are a lot of problems in traditional labs that weaken the educational process including; lack of the required tools, chemical material and equipment to carry out experiments, some materials and tools are pricey, increasing the student's intensity in the laboratory, lack of ventilation and means of security and safety as well as lack of class time that doesn't allow them to do laboratory experiments.

Moreover, on the necessity of virtual labs Nada explained: "Virtual labs allow students to carry out their laboratory experiments exactly, anywhere and anytime. It saves a lot of class time and the teacher's time and effort. Vlab is economically sufficient when compared to the costs of using the traditional labs."

"Vlab allow students to do dangerous and expensive experiments in an interesting environment with much fun such as; practically applying the equations and laws that are included in the experiments, provide an competitive atmosphere among students through using games and interactive activities and allow the communication between students and between students and teacher." Nada noted.

As for "Know your body App", Nada said: “This App includes 5 sections; discover your body, from your body, the body processes, protect your body and play and learn."

Nada pointed out that this App provides interactive stimulation for the human body, anatomize the body's organs in virtual lab and includes a rotating 3D model of human body's organs. It also integrates a gamification to measure the child's progress level and an interactive stimulation for the vital processes that happen inside the body's systems.

The entrepreneur continued: “The App also involves an informative game to form the human body that helps children to memorize the correct places of the organs and interface exams constantly to measure the extent of the child's progress.

It helps teachers to educate  science in an interesting and attractive way, saves a lot of time and efforts of teachers in classes and present a group of tips for children to help them in protecting their bodies' systems and organs.”

In conclusion, Nada expressed his hopes that there will be cooperation with the Ministry of Education in light of what it is currently seeking to revolutionize the education system into an electronic one.
