Yair Leven, Speaker of the Knesset, the legislative body in Israel, said today, Monday, that the council is going to vote on the new government formed by opponents of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on June 14.

It is worth noting that the leader of opposition Yair Lapid has formed a new coalition comprising several minor parties to oust Netanyahu.

The new government terminates Netanyahu who spent 12 years in office and surpassed the first Prime Minister in Israel David Ben Gurion.

The Speaker of the Knesset added that the session of voting the new government will be set within the seven days to come or next Monday.

He pointed out members of the council will be informed on the date of voting on Lapid's government.

If the new government will be passed in the Knesset it will be the 36th once since the establishment of Israel on May 15, 1948.

The Israeli 12 Channel said on May 29 that Naftali Bennett, chairman of Yamina political party has consented to join a coalition government with Yesh Atid party led by Yair Lapid according to the Bloomberg news website.

The Israeli channel added that the accord between Bennett and Lapid may be announced today or tomorrow, Sunday.

The agreement rules that Naftali Bennett is going to chair the new government in Israel until September 2023 then Lapid successes him until November 2025.

The channel went on to say that Ayelet Shaked, deputy-chairman of the Yamina party and former minister of Justice In Israel, and a number of the party are not enthusiastic to join a coalition government with Yesh Atid led by Lapid Yair.

It indicated that Bennett thinks that the right or at least a part of it may join his government when the storm breaks.

The Israeli channel pointed out that Ayelet Shaked who revealed that she did not prefer to go to the fifth election in Israel in less than three years, may accept to join a government led by Lapid.

She inclines to be a member of the Likud government led by Benjamin Netanyahu.

It is worth noting that both Yesh Atid and Labor announced yesterday, Friday that they reached a coalition agreement to form a new government within Lapid’s efforts to form a government through” Change Bloc” in the Knesset, the legislative body in Israel.

Lapid beat the first agreement to form the new government last Monday eight days before.
