Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp said he was no longer sure whether the VAR technology was useful for football, after the Reds match against Midtjylland was disrupted 3 times during the second half in the UEFA Champions League, Wednesday.
The match, which ended in a 1-1 draw, was stopped to review the video referee for the shot before a penalty kick was awarded, from which Midtjylland scored the draw goal, and playing was also suspended after the VAR cancelled a goal for each team.
Klopp agreed that the three decisions were correct, but he showed he was annoyed that the players had to wait for a long time on the pitch in the cold weather.
"I used to say that the idea of a video ruling is good, but I'm not sure about that now, to be honest," he told reporters.
"It takes a long time. The decisions are correct, but it is difficult for the players to wait 3 or 4 minutes in cold weather," he added.
After securing his lead to Group D, the German boss made 8 changes to the squad, but preferred to push the main striker Mohamed Salah along with Fabinho in defense.
Salah scored a goal in the first minute to raise his tally to 22 goals in the Champions League, surpassing Steven Gerrard to become Liverpool's top scorer in the history of the competition.
Meanwhile, Klopp hailed 'truly exceptional' Salah for breaking Steven Gerrard's Champions League scoring record.

"It is one record after another, and I am pretty sure he is proud of that… he should be," said Klopp in his pre-match press conference.
"He's an exceptional player, just an absolutely exceptional player and since we have been together a lot of things really clicked,"
"He appreciates the help of the team too. Even his incredible number of goals wouldn't be enough alone for us to be successful,"
"But he is truly exceptional. Nobody doubted it, but if you need numbers to prove, he delivers that as well."
