King Abdullah II Leads Jordan Army to Deter Israeli Invasion

Israeli media outlets pointed out that the Jordanian army held  war games led by King Abudllah II to deter an Israeli  WOULD-BE  invasion last week.

This exercise sends political messages to many regional and international parties.

Tensions between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Israel escalated significantly over the last months.

The 13 Israeli News Channel mentioned that odds between the two countries culminated throughout the  years of Benjamin Netanyahu government.

The Hebrew channel warns of the  fallouts of deteriorating of relation with Jordan which has the longest border line with Israel.

It slammed  Netanyahu for dealing with Jordan lightly.

The Armed Forces of Jordan carried out unprecedented exercises which imitate an Israeli invasion to the country.

Those game wars were named” Syoof Al Karameh- Swords of Dignity -2019”  indicating the battle of Karameh broke out  in n the Jordanian town of Karameh on 21 March 1968, between the Palestinian  fighters and the Israeli army.

Artillery of the Jordanian army intervened then to support the Palestinians.

The Israelis fled the field leaving a number of armored vehicles.

On the other hand, Jordanian sources revealed that the latest war games of the national army aim at deterring invading forces coming from the west.

This implies to Israel which is situated in the west of Jordan.

The maneuvers included exploding of bridges over the Jordan River.

King Abdullah Bin Al- Hussein of Jordan led those war games dressed in military clothing.

According to the official declaration the newest war games stimulated a defensive battle to stop  a foreign invasion.

It included using tanks, choppers, military hardware to smash the  vanguards of the enemy along with destroying bridges across the river lest be used as crossing points into the Jordanian territories.

Barak David, an Israeli war correspondent, quoted Jordanian as saying that those war games have no similar ones within twenty years.

They described them as an outstanding event unveils the complicated crisis in the country.

Netanyahu has suggested leading a national unity government to join the Jordan Valley to Israel.
