Kim Jong Un’s daughter made her first public appearance outside North Korea during the North Korean leader’s visit to Beijing on Tuesday.
As Kim stepped off his trademark green armored train and was greeted by Chinese officials on the red carpet, observers noticed a young girl walking just behind him, smiling politely, dressed in black with her hair tied in a bow.
She has appeared alongside her father at several domestic military events in recent years, fueling speculation about her future role and whether Kim is preparing her as a possible successor.
Her presence in Beijing is considered highly symbolic, as she attended a massive military parade where Chinese President Xi Jinping showcased his armed forces.
Kim stood alongside Xi and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
