Ola Abdullatif, a fashion designer, introduced her new collection made of Khayameya fabric for mothers and daughters during Ramadan.
She merged Khayameya textile; that is rich in Islamic ornament, with golden cotton to confer a fancy look in “Iftar” and” Sohour” outings.

Caftans' Designs
Abdullatif presents new cardigans inspired from the renowned Arabic caftans’ designs.
Cardigans are type of knitted garment with an open front. They are loose, comfortable and practical.
It’s pretty easy to wear these colorful cardigans decorated with Khayameya drawings with jeans, shirts or dresses.
Private Business
Abdullatif graduated from faculty of home economics and got her fashion design diploma.
She started her private business by designing kids wear; casual and soiree, then she introduced adult designs.
Afterwards, she launched a Facebook page to market her products.

El-Moez Street
The fashion designer chose to make her new collection’s photo session at El-Moez Street, one of the most amazing streets in Islamic Cairo.
Khayameya Origin
It’s worth mentioning that Khayameya is a type of decorative textile historically used to decorate tents across the Middle East.
They are now primarily made in Cairo, Egypt and it’s characterized by its wonderful drawings and vivid colors.
For Egyptian families, it’s common to use it in home decorations during Ramadan along side with other tournaments.
